"An Intervention into an Endangered Atlanta Skyscraper"
This is a proposed intervention for the Medical Arts Building in Atlanta, GA. The building was originally designed by architect Frank Lloyd Preacher and built in 1927. It has been abandoned since 1995, and is currently on the Endangered Buildings List for the City of Atlanta.

What I propose is to convert the abandoned office building into high rise apartments. The building would have cantilevered platforms off of the south wall designated for farming capabilities, and the roof would be equipped with a park green space.

Through the use of wind energy and water collection, Skyfarm would not only provide enough fresh produce for the residents of the building, but would allow enough excess to stock the small cafe on the ground floor and provide a farmer's market to the surrounding community on weekends.
